Smile
Life Coach and Motivational Speaker Shelita Williams |
Perhaps wearing a smile all day sounds overly simplistic to you, but most people do not smile nearly enough. In fact, in
observing folks I noticed that more people display a look of concern or
displeasure than joy. Did you know that smiling is contagious? I challenge you
to make a concentrated effort all day to smile. Don’t just smile at people you
know and like; but at strangers you pass along the way at those who were, let’s
say not on your most recent Christmas card list.
Including
a smile as part of your daily wardrobe not only boosts your mental state, but it
also does wonders for people on the receiving end of your gorgeous kisser. I
know the thought of doing this might seem a little goofy, but if you’ll humor
me for one day you will see that I’m right. You never know how you may make
someone’s day by smiling at them with no strings attached. As a matter of fact,
yours just might be the only smile they receive all day.
Today’s challenge is to smile. Not that fake, plastered on
straight-line-across-mouth thing we adults do, but a genuine, teeth baring,
lips parted smile. Pack a purse sized mirror and check your visage from time to time throughout the day.
Selah
Psalm 42:11
Why
art thou cast down, O my soul? and why art thou disquieted within me? hope thou
in God: for I shall yet praise him, who is the health of my countenance, and my
God.
Smiles are contagious!!!
ReplyDeleteSo true pretty lady Venus! What's so funny is that I used to be told that "if looks could kill" all the time because I walked around with a frown on my face. But now having met Jesus and being thankful for all He has done for me I smile, and I get you always have such a pleasant disposition! God is good no matter what we may be facing I smile because the Joy of the Lord is my strength!!!
